dc.description	This article contrast the commemorative editions of the first century independence in 1910, both printed in Bogota and Cali after the celebration. In a specific manner those books that were published with an Institutional and urban intention would be compared, with means to study the ways that each local constellation wanted to represent itself and its City during the sumptuous Centennial. In order to do so, the editions were examined and characterize like political scriptures and monument – like documents full with a particular historic memoire. This was developed in order to analyze the role of the content in proper cultural elements of a conservative regime during the xix and the xx Century, and to examine some variables that grew apart the joyous character of both cities centennial when articulated around the urge of showing local traditions, and memory molding.	en-US
dc.description	Este artículo compara las ediciones conmemorativas del primer centenario de la Independencia en 1910, impresas en las ciudades de Bogotá y Cali después de la celebración. Se contrastan, específicamente, aquellos libros publicados con una intención institucional y urbana, con el fin de estudiar las maneras en que cada constelación local pretendió representarse a sí misma y a su ciudad durante el fasto centenario. Para ello, se caracterizan y examinan las ediciones como escrituras políticas y monumentos-documentos cargados de una memoria histórica particular. Esto con el fin de, primero, analizar el papel que en sus contenidos tuvieron aquellos elementos culturales propios al régimen conservador del los siglos xix y xx, y, segundo, examinar algunas variables que, articuladas en torno al impulso de tradiciones locales y la construcción de lugares de la memoria, distanciaron el carácter del feliz centenario entre las dos ciudades.	es-ES
