| dc.description | During the seventies years the appropriation’s phenomenon of the international youth culture raised in Colombia by the local youth. Multiples musical bands of rock grew up in Bogotá committed with the rescue of traditional and folkloric values of the country. This project motivates the search for the Andean and Caribbean rhythms, the learning of new sonorities and instruments, and the change of their whole way of life. However, the cultural history of this years has remain in the historiographic forgetfulness because the youth of this period did not generated the commercial and advertising impact that did generated the subcultures of the sixties and eighties. Although this was a really short period, it left the most important musical legacy appeared in Latin America during the second half of the twenty century: the Latinoamericanism. Taking into account the lyrics, the concert’s images, the personal photos and more diverse iconological resources, the pretention is to understand the social and political imaginaries of the youth that was confront by many different ideological tendencies. Also the press reports, the interviews and the scarce instrument market are the clue to understand the ideological change of the generations in the sixties and the seventies years. It’s very important to continue exploring the cultural history either in the present or in the distant past without glorifying the period and the artist. The challenge for the social analyst is to find out more primary resources that allow us to understand how the cultural action of the subject are develop in a specific period. | en-US |
| dc.description | Durante la década del setenta Colombia fue testigo del surgimiento del fenómeno de apropiación de la cultura juvenil internacional por parte de los jóvenes locales. Diversas agrupaciones musicales de rock nacieron en Bogotá con el compromiso de rescatar los valores tradicionales y folclóricos del país. Este proyecto incentivó la búsqueda de los ritmos andinos y costeros, el aprendizaje de nuevas sonoridades e instrumentos y la transformación de sus cotidianidades. Sin embargo, la historia cultural de estos años ha permanecido en el olvido historiográfico, porque esta juventud no generó el impacto comercial y publicitario producido por las subculturas del sesenta y el ochenta. Aunque fue un período extremadamente corto en la historia nacional, dejó el legado musical más importante que apareció en Latinoamérica durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX: el latinoamericanismo. A partir de las letras de las canciones, las imágenes de los conciertos, las fotografías personales y otros tantos recursos iconográficos, se pretende entender los imaginarios sociales y políticos de una juventud enfrentada a múltiples tendencias ideológicas. También las notas de prensa, las entrevistas y el reducido mercado de instrumentos, son una pista para comprender el cambio ideológico entre las generaciones de los años sesenta y los setenta. Es importante continuar explorando la historia cultural bien sea del presente, o de un pasado lejano, sin que esto signifique glorificar un periodo o a los mismos artistas. El desafío de los analistas sociales está en encontrar mayores fuentes que permitan comprender cómo se desarrollan las acciones culturales de los sujetos en un periodo determinado. | es-ES |
