dc.description	This research is concerned, primarily, with studying the legislation that was created to regulate the lives of persons brought from Africa to America, at first as slaves. Over the course of time, as massive numbers of Africans arrived in the seventeenth century the legal form of freedom for this population was born-this created a complex society that had an effect on the composition of social networks, the composition of social groups, and prohibitions/permissions, all of which is clearly seen through the attempts at legislative control imposed by the Crown. My revision of the laws of Indies shows the possibility of distinct paths of research. In the essay below, I will concentrate on integration, control and the structure of the social-legal group in question.	en-US
dc.description	Esta investigación se centra en estudiar la legislación que fue creada para regular la vida de las personas traídas de África hacia América, en un principio como esclavos. En el siglo XVII, mientras llegaba una gran cantidad de africanos, se creó una forma legal de libertad para éstas personas, lo cual creó una sociedad compleja que tuvo efectos en la composición de las redes sociales, en la composición de los grupos sociales, en lo prohibido y lo permitido, todo esto visto a través de los mecanismos de control legislativo impuestos por la Corona. Mi revisión de estas Leyes de Indios, crea la posibilidad de ver distintos caminos de investigación. En este ensayo se hará énfasis en la integración, el control y la estructura social y legal del grupo en cuestión.	es-ES
