| dc.description | The gerrillas of the Eastern Palins mobilized a large number of peasants in Colombia and were a significant facet of the Great Violence on Colombia. The article points out that geographic factors and social economic structures defined both colonization and some of the tactics of the gerrilla of this region. The essay, in the first place, shows the geographic location of the movement; second, the histoic identity of the plains gerrilla, from 1949-1953, were a form of self-defense for the people against the abuses of the conservative dictatorship while the bi-partisan political structure was seen as a defiance to their dominion. | en-US |

Este artículo señala que los factores geográficos y las estructuras socioeconómicas definieron la colonización y las tácticas de la guerrilla en esta región. Este ensayo, muestra en primer lugar la localización geográfica del movimiento, segundo, la identidad hisórica de las guerrilla de los llanos, y finalmente, el ensayo describe los factores culturales del movimiento.
