Este trabajo cumple con los siguientes objetivos: 1. Describir el progreso de Colombia en evaluar la EMAP, e identificar vacíos actuales; 2. Proponer un estándar de buenas prácticas de manejo (incluyendo la definición de referentes de planeación coherente y adecuada, gobernanza equitativa, y manejo efectivo) en las APs Colombianas, con base en la versión inicial del estándar global de la LVAPC; Evaluar y validar la aplicabilidad del estándar propuesto en tres casos de estudio en Colombia que cumplieron con los criterios de selección: Parque Nacional Natural Tatamá, Parque Nacional Natural Gorgona y Santuario de Flora y Fauna Galeras. Adicionalmente, el estudio tiene la intención de compartir el proceso de adaptación, evaluación y validación del estándar con el fin de enriquecer adaptaciones futuras del estándar global en otros países o en otras regiones.
This document meets the following objectives: 1. Describe Colombia’s progress in assessing PAME, and identify current gaps; 2. Propose a standard for quality management practices (including planning, governance and effective management benchmarks) in Colombian PAs, by adapting the initial version of GLPCA standard to reflect the characteristics and circumstances in which Colombian PAs operate; 3. Test and validate the applicability of the proposed standards in three case studies in Colombia which met specific selection criteria: National Natural Park Tatamá, National Natural Park Gorgona, and Flora and Fauna Sanctuary Galeras. Moreover, it has the intention to share the adaptation, testing and validation process of the GLPCA standard in order to enrich future adaptations of global standards in other regions or countries.
