Environmental Goods and Services Provided by the Tamauca River Micro Basin in Santiago, Putumayo: Facilitators of Sustainable Development for the Inga Native Community

dc.description	This paper aims to analyze the conception (or imagery) the Inga native community has regarding the sustainable development, which allows making some interpretations on the relationships between this community and the environmental goods and services provided by the Tamauca River micro basin. To do so, qualitative research techniques were used such as semi-structured interviews to key actors (Taita governor, the Mayor and some community members). Obtained data analysis revealed a perception and world view in this community regarding the sustainable development that is associated with their survival. It becomes evident in their education, in their chagras,2 when growing the food plants and in the reinforcement of their ancestral knowledge based on the traditional medicine, oral transcendence, direct knowledge of nature, and everything they deem as a part of their environment. Inga community has a spiritual conception of the resources found in their territory with very close and rational relationship to it. According to this cosmology there is a continuous link between society, nature and the spiritual world.	en-US
dc.description	En este artículo se describe la concepción o imaginario que tiene la comunidad indígena inga del desarrollo sostenible y se interpretan  las relaciones entre la comunidad indígena inga y los bienes y servicios ambientales que ofrece la microcuenca río Tamauca. Los datos analizados reflejan la percepción de esta comunidad sobre el desarrollo sostenible, que, desde su cosmovisión, se asocia con el poder pervivir. Esta pervivencia la encuentran en la educación, en el ámbito de sus chagras, en el cultivo de sus productos alimenticios y en fortalecer sus saberes ancestrales de la medicina tradicional, con trascendencia oral, con conocimiento directo de la naturaleza y todo lo que se considere su medio  ambiente. La comunidad inga tiene un fundamento de espiritualidad de los recursos que genera su territorio, es una relación muy íntima y racional. En esta cosmología se considera que existe un continuo enlace entre la sociedad, la naturaleza y el mundo espiritual.	es-ES
