dc.description	This article reflects on the meaning of the republicanism of Machiavelli from the reading of Claude Lefort, from a hermeneutical approach that permits the establishment of a lively dialogue between classical political and contemporary political thought. The objective is to establish a genealogy of political theory that maintains focus on the aporetic essence of the political. In this case, around the question: how is it possible that conflict —the insoluble struggle between men— is a source of social cohesion? It questions the foundations of the constitution of political order. The article discovers that the Machiavellian moment is signed by the affirmation that only through conflict are individuals and groups placed inside a common world. To this end, we reflect on the theoretical thesis of Lefort, who finds in the Florentine thinker a theory of conflict as a possibility for the establishment of the society and, therefore, politics. This approach allows us to think about politics as an agonistic field and therefore, cleared from all teaching of tradition.	en-US
dc.description	El artículo reflexiona sobre el sentido del republicanismo en Maquiavelo a partir de la lectura de Claude Lefort, mediante un abordaje hermenéutico que permita establecer un vívido diálogo entre el pensamiento político clásico y el contemporáneo. El objetivo es establecer una genealogía de la teoría política que detenga su mirada en la esencia aporética de lo político. En este caso, en torno a la pregunta: ¿cómo es posible que el conflicto —la lucha irresoluble entre los hombres— sea una fuente de cohesión social?, se cuestionan los cimientos de la constitución del orden político. El artículo descubre que el momento maquiaveliano está signado por la afirmación de que solo a través del conflicto los individuos y los grupos se sitúan dentro de un mundo común; para eso, se reflexiona teóricamente sobre la tesis de Lefort, quien encuentra en el pensador florentino una teoría del conflicto como posibilidad de institución de la sociedad y de la política. Este abordaje permite pensar la política como un campo agonístico y, por tanto, desembarazada de toda enseñanza de la tradición.	es-ES
