dc.description	This paper aims to give an account of the main discussions of political theory over the last decade in the English literature. For this reason it is divided into four parts: the first deals with show changes and continuities in American Political Science during the first and second half of the twentieth century; the second focuses on the paradigmatic cases of the discipline in the East and West; the third refers to trends in the field in the main manuals; and the fourth points to the challenges of the discipline in the context of the transformations of recent years. The method of the article is a state of the art about the field of political theory based on the manuals of Political Science and some of the most important journals of the discipline in the English language world.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo tiene como propósito dar cuenta de los principales debates sobre teoría política de la literatura en ingles de la última década. Para este efecto se encuentra dividido en cuatro partes: la primera se ocupa de mostrar los cambios y continuidades en la Ciencia Política norteamericana durante la primera y segunda mitad del siglo xx; la segunda se centra en los casos paradigmáticos de la disciplina en Oriente y Occidente; la tercera alude a las tendencias del campo dentro de los principales manuales; y la cuarta apunta a los retos y desafíos de la disciplina en el marco de las transformaciones de los últimos años. Metodológicamente, el artículo intenta desarrollar un estado del arte sobre el campo de la teoría política, tomando como base los manuales de ciencia política y algunas de las más importantes revistas de la disciplina del mundo anglosajón.	es-ES
