This article presents a contextualization and reflection of the socioeconomic changes in the locality of San Sebastian de Palmitas (Medellin) since the construction of this megaproject. This research relies on the supposition that infrastructure works change the everyday life and living styles of the inhabitants that surround its area of influence.El propósito del artículo es contextualizar y reflexionar sobre los cambios socioeco-nómicos ocurridos en la localidad de San Sebastián de Palmitas (Medellín) a partir de la construcción de un megaproyecto de conexión vial. Se parte del supuesto de que las obras de infraestructura, modifican la cotidianidad y los modos de vida de los pobladores ubicados en el área de influencia.
