| dc.description | The case of the Norwegian mass murderer, Anders Breivik, has created enormous challenges for forensic psychiatry and has also sparked controversy and differences inside this discipline. We therefore propose a different view of this case and present a reading of it from a structural diagnosis coming from the teaching of psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan and from the existing material around Breivik's life, especially from his manifesto 2083: A European Declaration of Independence. Psychosis, from a structural point of view, seems to properly fit both Breivik and the logic that supports it. At the end of the paper we will suggest a diagnosis that in our opinion suits more accurately the actions and intentions of this enigmatic person. | en-US |

Proponemos, por consiguiente, una mirada diferente de este caso y presentamos una lectura a partir del diagnóstico estructural proveniente de la enseñanza del psicoanalista Jacques Lacan, y a partir del material existente alrededor de la vida de Breivik, en especial su manifiesto, 2083. A European Declaration of Independence. La psicosis, desde un punto de vista estructural, nos parece ajustarse convenientemente a Breivik y a la lógica que la sostiene. Al final del artículo sugerimos un diagnóstico que a nuestro modo de ver abarca con más justeza las actuaciones y los propósitos albergados por este personaje tan enigmático. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Le cas du tueur de masse norvégien Anders Breivik a soulevé d'énormes défis pour la psychiatrie légale, mais il a également suscité des différences et des controverses à l'intérieure de cette discipline. Nous proposons par conséquent un regard différent sur ce cas et présentons une lecture à partir du diagnostic structural issu de l‟enseignement du psychanalyste Jacques Lacan, et à partir du matériel existant sur la vie de Breivik, en particulier, son manifeste 2083: A European Declaration of Independence. La psychose, d‟un point de vue structural, semble s‟adapter convenablement à Breivik et à la logique qui la soutient. A la fin de l'article nous suggérons un diagnostic qui, selon nous, recouvre avec plus de justesse les actions et les propos tenus par ce personnage si énigmatique. | fr-CA |
