| dc.description | The study of the burden in informal primary caregivers has taken great importance in Colombia by population aging progressive. This study of instrumental type examined the factor structure and reliability of the Caregiver Burden Scale of Zarit. Sample was 100 caregivers (mean age = 45.72 years, SD = 16.68), who were applied a structured interview and the Zarit Scale. Exploratory factor analysis revealed five factors explaining 68.35% of the total variance, obtaining a high level of reliability for the total Scale (α = 0.88), demonstrating that the Zarit Scale is a multidimensional instrument, useful for measuring burden on primary caregivers informal elderly dependents in the region. | en-US |
| dc.description | El estudio de la sobrecarga en cuidadores primarios informales ha tomado gran relevancia en Colombia a causa del progresivo envejecimiento poblacional. Este estudio de tipo instrumental examinó la estructura factorial y confiabilidad de la Escala de Sobrecarga del Cuidador de Zarit. La muestra estuvo conformada por 100 cuidadores (Edad promedio = 45,72 años, DE = 16,68), a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista estructurada y la Escala Zarit. El análisis factorial exploratorio evidenció cuatro factores que explican el 68,35% de la varianza total, obteniendo un alto nivel de fiabilidad para la Escala Total (α = 0,88), demostrando que la Escala Zarit es un instrumento multidimensional, útil para medir sobrecarga en cuidadores primarios informales de adultos mayores dependientes de la región. | es-ES |
