| dc.description | Son las 9 de la mañana en el Monasterio Franciscano de las hermanas Escarlatas. En una de las habitaciones comunales, la luz del sol iluminan los ojos llorosos de Ángela (22), quien se encuentra arrodillada susurrando una oración, sus manos frágiles sostienen un rosario . La hermana Soledad (60) advierte que dolerá y sin pensarlo proporciona una cachetada que tumba al suelo a Ángela y deja dos marcas de herida rojizas. Luego le dice que su castigo ha terminado, y que no entiende su repentino cambio de actitud, Ángela le dice que sigue siendo la misma, pero que desea saber cuáles son sus raíces. Soledad sale de la habitación y con otra monja, la observan desde una ventana trasera de la habitación mientras en voz baja, dicen esperar que esta sea la última vez que Ángela intenta escaparse, pues ya es momento de que siga adelante con su formación como partera. | |

In one of the communal rooms, the sunlight illuminates the teary eyes of Angela (22), who is kneeling whispering a prayer, her fragile hands holding a rosary.
