| dc.description | The Oedipus complex describes an innate incest desire on a child that s is regulated by cultural laws introducing the child into the symbolic world of men. Sigmund Freud -Psychoanalysis’s fatherand Claude Levi-Strauss -structural anthropology’s father- built from the cultural regulation of instincts theory important hypothesis that affected social sciences’ thoughts and ideas through the XX century. Evolution theory is taken by evolutionist psychology to explain the psyche, not only in men but also in other animals, with good results. The Westermarck effect, named after the Finnish anthropologist that described it, and framed into the evolutionary theory has empirically demonstrated that generally what a child has is not an innate desire for an incestuous relationship, but a rejection of it. | en-US |
| dc.description | El Complejo de Edipo plantea un deseo incestuoso innato en el infante que es regulado por la norma cultural como introducción al mundo simbólico del hombre. Sigmund Freud, padre del psicoanálisis y Claude Lévi-Strauss, padre de la antropología estructural, construyeron a partir de la regulación cultural del instinto incestuoso sendas hipótesis que marcaron gran parte del pensamiento de las ciencias sociales y humanas del siglo XX. La teoría de la evolución es retomada por la psicologíaevolucionista para explicar el psiquismo, no solo en el hombre sino también en otros animales, con resultados satisfactorios. El Efecto Westermarck, enmarcado dentro de la teoría evolucionista, llamado así en honor al antropólogo finlandés que lo descubrió, ha logrado demostrar empíricamente que lo que hay por lo general en el infante no es un deseo sino un desinterés o rechazo innato por la relación incestuosa. | es-ES |
