| dc.description | This article explores the analytical trends of studies on masculinities carried out in the department of Boyacá, Colombia. Based on a conceptual description of the research carried out in Latin America and Colombia, the main advances that have been established in this context are narrated to design spaces for dialogue aimed at rethinking the facts that determine the social construction of being a man. The methodology used to collect information is qualitative and the technique was a documentary review. The final documents selected were nine degree projects, three institutional documents, four academic meetings and two intervention initiatives. The results were organized based on three trends: 1) The construction of masculinity from the paternal experience in Boyacá, 2). The socialization, upbringing and configuration of the masculine identity in Boyacá and 3). Public policies and intervention strategies with men in Boyacá. As the main results, it is evidenced that male identity is shaped by the paternal experience, the context he inhabits and the activities that define his daily life, on the other hand, a preponderance of studies of rural masculinity is expressed, an aspect that nourishes contemporary perspectives analyzed on the subject. Finally, as a conclusion, the idea of strengthening the articulation between research, institutions and public policies is proposed in order to generate connected networks for the study of masculinities in Boyacá. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo analiza los estudios sobre masculinidades llevados a cabo en el departamento de Boyacá, Colombia. Conceptualmente, la investigación establece una descripción de las investigaciones realizadas en Latinoamérica, Colombia y posteriormente, examina los adelantos efectuados desde la disciplina de trabajo social. La metodología utilizada es de tipo cualitativo y la técnica fue revisión documental. Los resultados encontrados en Boyacá se organizaron a partir de tres tendencias: en primer lugar, la construcción de la masculinidad a partir del significado de ser padre; en segundo lugar, la socialización, crianza y configuración de la identidad masculina y, en tercer lugar, las políticas públicas y estrategias de acción realizadas con hombres en Boyacá. Como resultados, se observa que las experiencias de ser hombre se moldean a través de la paternidad, el contexto que habitan y las actividades cotidianas que lo imbrican, asimismo, se expresa una preponderancia de los estudios sobre masculinidad rural, aspecto que nutre las perspectivas contemporáneas asociadas al tema. A nivel de intervención, se evidencia recientemente un crecimiento de iniciativas institucionales, que plantean procesos relacionados con la construcción social de la masculinidad. Como conclusión, se plantea la idea de articular la investigación al desarrollo de políticas públicas que enfaticen en el estudio de masculinidades en Boyacá. | es-ES |
