| dc.description | With this text is attempted to elucidate several interpretation elements, which can extend the analysis spectrum about cultural, political and economic complex situations which define the conception of child and adolescents. These elements can clear up the social function that determine childhood and adolescence in each historical period of the Americas, because from this point we can tell about different social constructions on the duty of being of the child -and more contemporary of the adolescent- who has to respond to different ambits of the family, individual and social family which condition their existence in the world. Conceptions about childhood and adolescence have changed radically over the time, because of social, political or economic issues, which have created many spaces of identification about the boy, the girl and the adolescent where it is told about a duty of being to be able to exist. Childhood -and more recently, adolescence- have been conceived and identified in the occidental culture, as offenders of some global cultural guidelines that intend to homogenize the mental structures of the society, so they can respond to certain productive and consumption interests. Currently, boys, girls and adolescents are products of an overflow capitalist system that is reproduced through them, permeating any space of socialization and culture, relationships become merchantable and the existence is reduced to cost-benefit, where the motto of tell me what you own and I’ll tell how much you worth can be applied. In this logic of voracious capitalism, that starts to determine new uses of civility as a tool for social control, in the way that it modulates the behavior of child and adolescents and, at the same allows internalizing the established rule as governing entity of life in society. | en-US |
| dc.description | Lo que se pretende con este texto es dilucidar varios elementos de interpretación que puedan ampliar el espectro de análisis sobre las complejas situaciones sociales, culturales, políticas y económicas, que determinan la concepción de niños, niñas y adolescentes. Estos elementos pueden esclarecer la función social que determina a la niñez y la adolescencia en cada periodo histórico de las Américas, ya que desde este punto podemos dar cuenta de las diferentes construcciones sociales sobre el deber ser del niño, niña y -más contemporáneamente- adolescente, que tiene que responder a diversos ámbitos de la vida social, familiar e individual que condicionan su existir en el mundo. Las concepciones sobre infancia y adolescencia han cambiado radicalmente en el transcurso del tiempo, ya sea por cuestiones sociales, políticas o económicas, y han generado diversos espacios de identificación sobre el niño, niña o adolescente, donde se habla de un deber ser para poder existir. La infancia -y más recientemente la adolescencia- han sido concebidos e identificados en la cultura occidental como transgresores de unas pautas culturales globales que pretenden homogenizar las estructuras mentales de la sociedad, para que respondan a unos intereses productivos y de consumo. Son en la actualidad los niños, niñas y adolescentes un producto de un sistema capitalista desbordado que se reproduce a través de éstos, permeando cualquier espacio de socialización y cultura, siendo así que las relaciones se mercantilizan y la existencia se reduce al costo-beneficio, donde dime lo que tienes y te diré lo que vales. Es esta lógica del capitalismo voraz la que empieza a determinar unos nuevos usos de la civilidad como herramienta de control social, en la medida en que modulan la conducta de los niños, niñas y adolescentes y, al mismo tiempo, permiten interiorizar la norma establecida como ente rector de la vida en sociedad. | es-ES |
