| dc.description | En este trabajo se presentan algunos resultados cuantitativos sobre la situación de género en la Universidad de Guadalajara, México. Los resultados provienen de una encuesta sobre percepción de género realizada a mediados de 2017 en la Universidad. Nuestro objetivo era conocer algunas de las percepciones de género que tienen el estudiantado, el personal administrativo y el personal académico de la institución. Entre los principales resultados encontrados señalamos la persistencia de estereotipos de género que impiden el adecuado desarrollo de las mujeres en la vida universitaria, así como altos porcentajes promedio de alumnas que han sido acosadas y hostigadas por algún miembro de la comunidad universitaria. | |
| dc.description | In this work we present some quantitative results of the gender situation at the Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico. The results come from a survey on gender perception carried out in 2017 at the University. Our objective was to know some of the gender perceptions in students, administrative staff and academic staff of the institution. Based on these data, a series of measures and guidelines can be designed with the objective of counteracting against the gender gap. In the main results we found the persistence of gender stereotypes that prevent the proper development of women in university life, also a high average of women students who have been sexual harassed by a member of the university community. | |
