Rising awareness on people is a task that is usually assumed by museums and educational institutions as a strategy to achieve social change and a way to increase cultural consumption. This research aims at investigating about the activities that are developed particularly in the contemporary art fairs in America (North, Central, and South), with the intention of showing the level of preparedness of their audiences and the benefits that come along with it, as well as determining the role that it plays within them. It also seeks to verify the importance of pedagogical-didactic experiences in contemporary art fairs as spaces that promote artistic, aesthetic enjoyment and the appreciation of plastic and cultural expressions. This article represents a second phase of work that begun in 2016-1, which will continue to deepen.
La formación de públicos es una tarea que habitualmente asumen los museos y las instituciones educativas como una estrategia para lograr un cambio social y una manera de incrementar el consumo cultural. Esta investigación pretende indagar sobre las actividades que se desarrollan particularmente en las ferias de arte contemporáneo de América (norte, centro y sur), con el ánimo de evidenciar en qué nivel se encuentra la formación de públicos y cuáles son los beneficios, así como determinar el papel que desempeña dentro de estas. Se busca, además, comprobar la importancia que tienen las experiencias pedagógico-didácticas en las ferias de arte contemporáneo como espacios que fomentan el goce artístico, estético y el disfrute de expresiones plásticas y culturales. Este artículo representa una segunda fase de trabajo iniciado en el 2016-1, que se continuará profundizando.
La formation du public est une tâche qui incombe normalement aux musées et institutions éducatives pour faire naitre une évolution socio-culturelle et développer une consommation de type culturel. Cette investigation tente d’analyser les activités ayant cours dans les foires d'art contemporain du continent américain pour mettre en évidence le niveau de formation des différents publics et déterminer le rôle joué par celui-ci lors de ces manifestations. Nous nous attacherons en outre à montrer l'importance que les expériences pédago-didactiques peuvent avoir sur les foires d'art contemporain en tant qu’espaces promouvant l’esthétique et les expressions plastiques et culturelles. Cet article correspond à la seconde phase du travail commencé au premier semestre 2016.
