| dc.description | School dropout in higher middle education (EMS) is due to multiple factors, mainly by economic factors. This paper analyzes the evolution of the budget allocated to the EMS in Mexico, as well as enrollment and GDP; Various projections of each of the variables were made. The results show that since the EMS was established as mandatory, the allocated budget has increased considerably annually, but not so the enrollment, at the same time the use of instrumental variables was used. to determine if the enrollment is related to the GDP or budget assigned to the EMS. The main results obtained show that the budget for the EMS has increased considerably and tends to continue rising, but this does not explain or defne the enrollment, on the other hand, GDP follows a similar behavior to the enrollment. In Mexico, an approximate 1% of the annual GDP is destined, encouraging the entrance to study upper secondary, seeing it as an opportunity for growth and development, currently, the designated budget is being used mainly to pay fees, the current government is labeling the budget for direct support to students through scholarships in order to encourage the permanence and satisfactory completion of their studies. | en-US |
| dc.description | El abandono escolar en educación media superior (EMS) está dada por múltiples factores, principalmente por factores económicos. En el presente trabajo se analiza la evolución del presupuesto asignado a la EMS en México, así como, la matricula y el PIB; se realizaron diversas proyecciones de cada una de las variables los resultados muestran que a partir de que se instauro como obligatoria la EMS el presupuesto asignado ha incrementado anualmente de manera considerables, pero no así la matricula, a la par se empleó el uso de variables instrumentales para determinar si la matricula está relacionada con el PIB o presupuesto asignado a la EMS. Los principales resultados obtenidos muestran que se ha incrementado el presupuesto a la EMS considerablemente y tiende a seguir subiendo, pero ello, no explica o defne la matricula, por otro lado, PIB sigue un comportamiento similar a la matricula. En México se destina un aproximado del 1% del PIB anual, incentivando el ingreso a estudiar media superior, viéndolo como una oportunidad de crecimiento y desarrollo, actualmente, el presupuesto designado está siendo utilizado para pagar honorarios principalmente, el gobierno actual está etiquetando el presupuesto para apoyo directo a estudiantes por medio de becas con el fn de incentivar la permanencia y conclusión satisfactoria de sus estudios. | es-ES |
