| dc.description | The purpose of the research work is to analyze the impact of a didactic strategy based on information and communication technologies in the development of random thinking and its association with gender equity in ninth grade students of the La Angelita Rural Educational Center in the municipality of Zulia. In this sense, the work was approached from a quantitative methodology. For the collection of information, a test was applied to recognize the participants’ perceptions of gender. Likewise, the students were evaluated before implementing the pedagogical strategy. Once the intervention was completed, the same test was applied again, in order to verify the impact of the applied strategy. Statistical techniques were used to analyze the information collected, such as the calculation of measures of central tendency and deviation. To present the results, statistical bar charts and box-and-whisker diagrams were constructed. In addition, hypothesis contrast tests were applied, such as the Student’s t-test and the Wilcoxon test. It was possible to conclude that the pedagogical strategy applied produced significant improvements in the development of random thinking. | dc.description | El propósito del trabajo de investigación es analizar el impacto de una estrategia didáctica basada en las tecnologías de información y comunicación en el desarrollo del pensamiento aleatorio y su asociación con la equidad de género, en estudiantes de noveno grado, del Centro Educativo Rural la Angelita del municipio del Zulia. En este sentido, el trabajo se enfocó desde una metodología cuantitativa. Para la recolección de información se aplicó un test para reconocer las percepciones que sobre género tienen los participantes. De igual forma, los educandos fueron evaluados antes de implementar la estrategia pedagógica. Una vez terminada la intervención se volvió a aplicar la misma prueba, de modo de verificar cual fue el impacto de la estrategia aplicada. Para analizar la información recolectada se emplearon técnicas estadísticas, tales como el cálculo de las medidas de tendencia central, las de desviación. Para presentar los resultados se construyeron gráficos estadísticos tanto de barras como diagramas de cajas y bigotes. Además, se aplicaron pruebas de contraste de hipótesis, tales como el test t Student y la prueba de Wilcoxon. Se pudo concluir que, la estrategia pedagógica aplicada produjo mejoras significativas en el desarrollo del pensamiento aleatorio. Además, que si bien no existe una marcada discriminación de género, si existen algunas situaciones que pueden ser consideras como tal. | es-ES |
