| dc.description | A theoretical and methodological reflection is presented below that leads to thinking about violence from different perspectives. In other words, progress is being made towards considering elements ranging from direct aggression, which typifies violent behaviour, to considering the structural causes that trigger it, unsatisfied basic needs, social inequality, few opportunities for promotion and social mobility and reproduction of forms of being, acting and feeling that are internalized as cultural guidelines and are normalized in the contexts where structural demands make their way. The analytical framework is supported by the investigations of Johan Galtung, to recognize the three dimensions of violence (physical, structural and cultural) we stop at the Colombian case, and incorporate the serious contributions of Norbert Elías regarding the individual and society relationship as a events that are interrelated and mutually determined. We take Elias’s idea of civilizing condition and couple it with the concept of sociality in Maffesoli to arrive at the powerful concept of habitus in Bourdieu. This analytical framework will allow us to understand the phenomenon of violence in its three dimensions and that, accompanied by some investigations in the national and Latin American context, allows us to infer the challenges for an idea of total peace from the scenario of the cultural dimension of violence. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se presenta a continuación una reflexión teórica y metodológica que conduce a pensar la violencia desde diferentes perspectivas. Es decir, se avanza hacia la consideración de elementos que van desde la agresión directa, que tipifica un comportamiento violento, hasta considerar las causas estructurales que lo desencadenan, necesidades básicas insatisfechas, desigualdad social, escasas oportunidades de ascenso y movilidad social y reproducción de formas de ser, actuar y sentir que se internalizan como pautas culturales y se normalizan en los contextos donde hacen carrera las demandas estructurales. El encuadre analítico se soporta en las investigaciones de Johan Galtung, para reconocer las tres dimensiones de la violencia (física, estructural y cultural) nosdetenemos en el caso colombiano, e incorporamos los serios aportes de Norbert Elías respecto de la relación individuo y sociedad como acontecimientos que se interrelacionan y se determinan mutuamente. Llevamos la idea de condición civilizatoria de Elías y la acoplamos con el concepto de socialidad en Maffesoli para llegar al potente concepto de habitus en Bourdieu. Este encuadre analítico nos va a permitir comprender el fenómeno de la violencia en sus tres dimensiones y que, acompañado de algunas sendas investigaciones en el contexto nacional y latinoamericano, nos permite inferir los retos y desafíos para una idea de paz total desde el escenario de la dimensión cultural de la violencia. | es-ES |
