dc.description	A couple of decades ago, in almost all of South America, the so-called shift to the left began. In this context, two cases of resilient rights that prevented the rise of the left in this contagious situation, Peru and Colombia, have stood out. Therefore, the research objective is to analyze the limited pluralism and the continuity of rightwing governments in Peru and Colombia. The article states that the battery of instruments that the right has used to stay in power have been extensive, the formal impediments to competition, the technocratic control of the bureaucracy, the stigmatization of the left, and even the systematic murder of leftist leaders and candidates in Colombia.	en-US
dc.description	Hace un par de décadas en casi la totalidad de América del Sur comenzó el denominado giro a la izquierda. En este contexto han destacado dos casos de derechas resilientes que evitaron el ascenso de la izquierda en esta contagiosa coyuntura, Perú y Colombia. Por ello, el objetivo de investigación es analizar el pluralismo limitado y la continuidad de los gobiernos de derecha en Perú y Colombia. En el artículo se afirma que la batería de instrumentos que ha utilizado la derecha para mantenerse en el poder han sido amplios, los impedimentos formales a la competencia, el control tecnocrático de la burocracia, la estigmatización de la izquierda, e incluso el asesinato sistemático de líderes y candidatos de izquierda en Colombia.	es-ES
