dc.description	The aim of this psychometric study was to design and validate an instrument for measuring attitudes towards the professional work of psychologists. To do this, in instrument was designed after making a brief theoretical review, by means of distribution tables in accordance to the components of the attitudes. Subsequently and after an evaluation process by judges, a pilot was conducted with 292 people as well as a factor analysis of the data obtained. After the evaluation processes, validity coefficients were obtained above 0.7 in all the reactants. An instrument made up of 28 reactants was created, these reactants were divided into three components (Cognitive: professional and scientific skills of the psychologist; Affective: prestige and effectiveness of the psychologist as a professional and Psychology as a discipline, and Behavioral: the tendency to use the professional services of the Psychologist). The instrument denoted high validity and reliability to measure the attitudes towards the professional work of the psychologist. We end our work by pointing out some possible contexts in which the study of the attitudes that users and nonusers may have towards the professional work of the psychologist and towards mental health services in general, might be of interest.	en-US
dc.description	El objetivo de este estudio de tipo psicométrico es diseñar y validar un instrumento para medir las actitudes frente a la labor profesional del psicólogo. Para ello y tras la revisión teórica, se realizó el diseño del instrumento por medio de tablas de distribución según los componentes de las actitudes, seguido del proceso de validación por jueces y el pilotaje para realizar ajustes finales, por medio de un análisis factorial, en el cual participaron 292 sujetos. Como resultado se entregan coeficientes de validez por jueces por encima de 0,7 en todos los reactivos y un instrumento conformado por 28 reactivos, distribuidos en 3 componentes (Cognoscitivo: competencias profesionales y científicas del Psicólogo; Afectivo: prestigio y efectividad del Psicólogo como profesional y la Psicología como disciplina, y Conductual: tendencia a utilizar los servicios profesionales del Psicólogo). El instrumento denota alta validez y confiabilidad para medir actitudes frente a la labor profesional del Psicólogo, sugiriendo diferentes estudios que identifiquen la actitud de usuarios y no usuarios de los servicios del Psicólogo en distintos contextos.	es-ES
