| dc.description | The main aim of this research was to design and pilot an instrument to measure sex addiction (MAS for its acronym in spanish) parting from a model of 96 items that were tested and supported by a committee of experts. A pilot was applied on 31 persons, this revealed the need for adjustments on the instrument which were further incorporated to the final design. Finally, it was applied to 281 people whose information was analyzed through an exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The results show seven factors with appropriate load factor, in which 59,695% of the total cumulative variance and a Cronbach alpha coefficient of 0.934 are explained. The results obtained make it possible to state that the MAS has a good internal consistency, validity and reliability, for which its use is recommended in the Colombian context, and to consider the interests and problems derived from the area of clinical application and to make research studies on the issue as well. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se presenta un instrumento para la Medición de Adicción al Sexo (MAS) cuyo punto de partida fue un modelo de 96 ítems, los cuales fueron sometidos a juicio por expertos. Se aplicó un piloto a 31 personas, frente al cual se obtuvieron algunas observaciones cualitativas del instrumento, y por último se realizó una aplicación a 281 personas cuya información fue analizada a través del análisis factorial exploratorio y el coeficiente de alfa de Cronbach. Los resultados arrojan 7 factores con apropiada carga factorial, en la cual se explica el 59,695% de la varianza total acumulada y un coeficiente de alfa de Cronbach de 0,934. A raíz de esto, se establece que el instrumento MAS cuenta con una buena consistencia interna, validez y confiabilidad, por lo que puede ser utilizado tanto en el contexto investigativo como clínico en el contexto colombiano. | es-ES |
