dc.description	The objective of this study is to identify the level of social abilities of the students that enter to first semester of Psychology program. After that, the effect of an intervention plan will be determined. Taking into account the importance for the individual and professional development, the question was formulated in these terms: Which is the level of the social abilities in students that enter to the Psychology Program? A descriptive study with 128 university students of different sex selected intentionally was organized, and the Questionnaire of Interpersonal Difficulties (CDI) was applied. Main results indicate that women obtain better performance when it is a matter of doing and rejecting petitions, and interacting with friends and mates; men do it well upon interacting with people that attract; older people have better interaction with unknown people and with people that attract and those of ages between 19 and 20 years interact better with friends and mates. The sample in general, needs to improve in its family relations.	en-US
dc.description	El objetivo del presente estudio es identifi car el nivel de Habilidades sociales de los estudiantes que ingresan a primer semestre del Programa de Psicología, para posteriormente, determinar el efecto de un Plan de Intervención. Dada la importancia para el desarrollo individual y, por tanto, profesional se formuló la pregunta: ¿Cuál es el nivel de las Habilidades Sociales en jóvenes que ingresan al Programa de Psicología?. Se organizó un estudio descriptivo con 128 universitarios de diferente sexo, seleccionados intencionalmente y se aplicó el Cuestionario de Dificultades Interpersonales (Eceiza, Arrieta y Goñi, 2008). Los resultados principales indican que las mujeres obtienen mejor desempeño al hacer y rechazar peticiones, interactuar con amigos y compañeros y los hombres en interactuar con personas que atraen; los mayores interactúan mejor con personas desconocidas y personas que atraen, los de edades entre 19 y 20 años interactúan mejor con amigos y compañeros; la muestra en general, necesita mejorar en sus relaciones familiares.	es-ES
