| dc.description | Introduction The theme of this article refers to the link established by Albrecht Wellmer, in his book Ethics and Dialogue (1986), between recognition and rationality / faculty of judgment. We consider, as an introduction, that the author's characterization regarding the link between these two concepts, because one of the most significant difficulties of contemporary critical theory is that it has not yet been able to raise –or, at least, it has not been done satisfactorily– an argumentative bridge between the notion of communicative rationality –Habermas– and that of recognition –Honneth–. Objective Our main objective is to clarify how Wellmer understands recognition and what is the relationship established between it and the faculty of judgment. To answer the question we will briefly explain, in the first part of the article, some of the central issues raised in the mentioned book. Method This will allow us to approach the key point of our discussion, which explains –using the methodology of conceptual reconstruction– the different meanings of the concept of recognition and its links with the faculty of judgment. Results and conclusion Although the results of the exhibition at this point are not definitive, we conclude that they enable a promising line for future research. | en-US |
| dc.description | Introducción La temática del presente artículo refiere al vínculo que establece Albrecht Wellmer en su libro Ética y diálogo (1986), entre reconocimiento y racionalidad o facultad de juzgar. A modo de introducción, consideramos que la caracterización hecha por el autor con respecto al vínculo entre estos dos conceptos es de gran importancia ya que, una de las dificultades más significativas de la teoría crítica contemporánea, no se ha podido erigir –o por lo menos no se ha hecho de manera satisfactoria– un puente argumentativo entre la noción de racionalidad comunicativa (Habermas) y la de reconocimiento (Honneth). Objetivo Nuestro objetivo principal es precisar cómo entiende Wellmer el reconocimiento y cuál es la relación que establece entre este y la facultad de juzgar. Método Para responder a la pregunta, expondremos de forma sucinta, en la primera parte del artículo, algunas de las tesis centrales que recorren el libro aludido. Esto nos permitirá aproximarnos al punto nodal de nuestra exposición, en el cual explicaremos, utilizando la metodología de la reconstrucción conceptual, las distintas acepciones del concepto de reconocimiento y sus vínculos con la facultad de juzgar. Resultados y conclusión Si bien los resultados de la exposición en este punto no son definitorios, llegamos a la conclusión de que habilitan una línea prometedora para futuras investigaciones. | es-ES |
