| dc.description | This article describes the main challenges that the university is facing in a global context, marked, in great measure, by competitiveness and the use of information technolog.It also describes the Internationalization Strategy adopted since 2010 by the Escuela de Ciencias de la Comunicación Colectiva of the University of Costa Rica, under an inclusive and constructivist framework. Participants in this project have been coordinating efforts with communication schools from different regions of the world by implementing activities such: teleconferences, videoconferences, collaborative development projects, teacher exchange, and the development of joint research and extension projects.In order to achieve this, different types of digital technology have been used, for example: Facebook, video streaming (live stream), Skype, e-mail, Google Docs, Dropbox, and Pbworks. These tools have shown to have very positive and effective results.Additionally, this initiative has improved the students “output profile”, and has also increased teachers’ abilities.In the near future, the goal is to develop a permanent and systematic process where students in this major will be able to accumulate sufficient understanding and experiences regarding internationalization, so they can obtain a formal recognition on behalf of the university. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo describe los principales retos formativos que enfrenta la academia universitaria, en un contexto global, marcado en gran parte por la competitividad y el uso de las tecnologías de la información.Asimismo, hace un abordaje de la estrategia de internacionalización adoptada desde el año 2010 por la Escuela de Ciencias de la Comunicación Colectiva, de la Universidad de Costa Rica, bajo un esquema inclusivo y constructivista.En el marco de este proyecto, se han venido coordinando esfuerzos con centros educativos de diversas regiones del mundo, al incorporar actividades tales como: teleconferencias, videoconferencias, desarrollo de proyectos colaborativos, intercambio de profesores y desarrollo de proyectos conjuntos de investigación y acción social.Para estos efectos, se han utilizado diversas herramientas tecnológicas digitales; tales como facebook, video streaming (live stream), Skype, correo electrónico, Google Docs, Dropbox y Pbworks, a través de las cuales se han logrado resultados muy positivos y eficaces. Esta iniciativa ha permitido proyectar mejoras en el “perfil de salida” del estudiante, así como el fortalecimiento de las capacidades del docente.En un futuro cercano, el objetivo es desarrollar un proceso permanente y sistemático, mediante el cual el estudiante que curse la carrera pueda acumular suficientes evidencias, como para obtener un reconocimiento formal de su trayectoria en experiencias de internacionalización. | es-ES |
