dc.description	RESUMEN Este trabajo pretende analizar las rupturas y continuidades en las relaciones interétnicas y las cuestiones limítrofes en el espacio fronterizo norpatagónico andino, durante el proceso de conformación de los Estado-nación argentino y chileno. En una primera parte se establecerá una comparación entre la “Conquista del desierto” y la “Pacificación de la Araucanía”. Se observará el impacto que tuvieron estos procesos en el mundo indígena y qué modalidades de resistencia adoptaron éstos, ante el avance militar. Posteriormente se analizarán concisamente, las políticas de ocupación que aplicaron ambos gobiernos sobre los territorios conquistados. Luego se hará una breve indagación sobre las cuestiones limítrofes, referidas al siglo XIX entre Argentina y Chile, realizando un análisis general del conflicto. Se tomará como ejemplo un paraje ubicado en la región norpatagónica andina, (El Valle del Río Manso). El principal objetivo de este análisis es observar si la implantación definitiva de estos límites desarticuló las relaciones socioeconómicas en la región mencionada. Para esta última parte del trabajo se recurrió a la utilización testimonios orales de actuales pobladores del mencionado paraje, que conservan en su memoria, mediante la transmisión de los recuerdos de sus antepasados, las representaciones de la ocupación del espacio a principios del siglo XX.PALABRAS CLAVE: Etnicidad – Estado-nación – Conquista – Resistencia – Ocupación – Límite – Frontera – Testimonios orales.INTERETHNIC RELATIONS AND BOUNDARIES ISSUES IN NORTH PATAGONIAN FRONTIER. RUPTURES AND CONTINUITY DURING THE ARGENTINE AND CHILEAN STATE-NATIONS CONFORMATION.ABSTRACT This paper intends to analyse the ruptures and continuities in the interethnic relations and boundary issues in North Patagonian Andean frontiers, during the process of conformation of the Argentine Chilean State-Nations. In the first section a comparison will be established between the “Conquista del Desierto” and the “Pacificación de la Araucanía”. We will observe the impact these processes had on the native world and what resistance methods they adopted in view of the military advance. Subsequently, occupation politics applied by both governments in the conquered territories will be analysed concisely. Afterwards, we will make a brief examination of border matters between Argentina and Chile in the XIX century, making a general analysis of the conflict. We will take as example a place situated in the North Patagonian Andean region (Valle del Rio Manso). The main task of this analysis is to observe if the definitive establishment of these boundaries broke up the socio-economical relations in the region. In the last part of this work we resorted to the use of oral testimonies of present inhabitants of the above mentioned place, who remember, through the transmission of their ancestors’ memories, the representations of space occupation of the area at the beginning of the XXth century.KEY WORDS: Ethnicity – State-Nation – Conquest – Resistance – Occupation – Boundary – Frontier – Oral testimonies.	es-ES
