| dc.description | La censura es asociada, frecuentemente, con un acto puramente negativo orientado al control sobre la producción y la circulación de obras a través de prohibiciones o de limitaciones. Aquí se propone una reposición teórica del concepto que debate esta concepción. Se parte de asumir la existencia de límites a la expresión en cualquier campo y se problematiza el concepto de campo en relación con la cinematografía, para observar sus particularidades e identificar a sus principales actores. La definición de censura estructural de Pierre Bourdieu propone que esta se produce en el propio campo cinematográfico y que puede desplegarse tanto a partir de políticas de prohibición, como de protección y de fomento. De este modo, el objetivo final de la censura no es limitar la expresión sino promover ideas y prácticas en toda la sociedad. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Censorship is often associated with a purely negative act oriented to the control over the production and circulation of works through prohibitions or limitations. This paper proposes a theoretical debate of this concept to put that conception into discussion. The starting point is the assumption of the existence of limits to the expression in any field, and the discussion of the concept of field in relation to cinematography, to observe their peculiarities and to identify their main actors. Pierre Bourdieu’s definition of structural censorship suggest that this one occurs in the field of cinema itself and that can be deployed both from prohibition policies, as well as protection and promotion.
