dc.description	This article reconstructs the contributions that the Health and Population Area of the Gino Germani Institute made to the production of studies on sexualities and gender in Argentina. This was done through semi-structured interviews and documentation surveys. The results will be presented in three sections: a) introduction of the Area; b) examination of the Study Group on Sexualities; c) influence of the Area in the teaching of these subjects in the Faculty of Social Sciences of the UBA. Finally, the epistemological and financing legitimacy that health studies granted to the development of the field of sexualities and genders is highlighted.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo reconstruye los aportes que el Área de Salud y Población del Instituto Gino Germani realizó a la producción de estudios sobre sexualidades y géneros en la Argentina. Esto se hizo mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas y relevamiento de documentación. Los resultados se presentarán en tres apartados: a) introducción del Área; b) puntualización del Grupo de Estudios sobre Sexualidades; c) influencia del Área en la enseñanza de estos temas en la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Se destaca la legitimidad epistemológica y de financiamiento que los estudios de salud otorgaron al desarrollo del campo de sexualidades y géneros.	es-ES
