| dc.description | Irrespective of the existing provisions on gender equality, we must be aware that future teachers are carriers of their own cultural codes, as they are the product of the system from which they come. In this way, they create the most diverse gender stereotypes, which children can unconsciously transfer from the initial stage. Our research interest focused on finding out what positions future teachers take on gender stereotypes in relation to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in kindergarten. The results suggest that the respondents do not have rigid positions on gender, but it is possible that socially acceptable answers were presented here. For their positions on the use of ICT in the kindergarten they tend to use it and affirm that they would use it as a didactic tool in cases where boys and girls already express gender stereotypes. With this article we want to show the possibility of a connection between the digital literacy of future teachers and the critical assessment at the content level with regard to gender stereotypes. | en-US |
| dc.description | Independientemente de las estipulaciones existentes sobre igualdad de género, debemos ser conscientes de que quienes ejerzan la docencia en el futuro portan sus propios códigos culturales, ya que son producto del sistema del cual proceden. De este modo, crean los más variados estereotipos de género, los cuales pueden, inconscientemente, trasladar a estudiantes de nivel inicial. Nuestro interés en la investigación se centró en averiguar cuáles son las posturas de futuros/as docentes de preescolar en cuanto al uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en el jardín de infantes, en relación a estereotipos de género. Los resultados indican que las personas entrevistadas no tienen ideas rígidas sobre género, pero surge aquí la posibilidad de que se hayan presentado respuestas socialmente aceptables. En relación al uso de las TIC en los jardines, se observa su aceptación como herramienta didáctica, en aquellos casos en que los niños y las niñas expresaran estereotipos de género. Con este artículo, deseamos presentar la posibilidad de existencia de una correlación entre el alfabetismo digital de los futuros maestros y maestras, y el juicio crítico a nivel de contenido en relación con estereotipos de género. | es-ES |
