| dc.description | In Philo’s treatises, the concept πολίτης “citizen” plays an essential role in the task of understanding the historical configuration and functioning of the community within the Alexandrian society, because it allows us to know not only what was the social place occupied by Jews in the city, but also the relationship between Jews and other population groups which integrated the same social space. In our study, then, we will analyze the civic use of πολίτης in Life of Moses and in the historical treatises Against Flaccus and Gaius Embassy, in connection with the vocabulary and historical events that can be included within the margins of his interpretation | en-US |
| dc.description | En los tratados de Filón, el concepto πολίτης “ciudadano” cumple un papel esencial en la tarea de comprender la configuración histórica y el funcionamiento de la comunidad dentro de la sociedad alejandrina porque permite conocer no solo cuál fue el lugar social ocupado por los judíos en la ciudad, sino también la relación entre los judíos y los demás grupos poblacionales que integraron el mismo espacio social. En nuestro estudio analizaremos entonces el uso cívico de πολίτης en Vida de Moisés y en los tratados históricos Contra Flaco y Embajada a Gayo, en conexión con el vocabulario y los eventos históricos que pueden ser incluidos dentro de los márgenes de su interpretación | es-ES |
