dc.description	In this article, we interrogate the rock nacional with new questions installed by the most recent research on music, produced in the local context. We make a history of the field of studies and show that attempts to stabilize this category are more problematic than is supposed. Likewise, we argue that literature works in a reductionist way the links of the so-called “rock nacional” with the market and with politics. We suggest that thinking about historical processes in terms of origin partly explains this problem and we offer analysis possibilities that would enrich our knowledge of the phenomenon.	en-US
dc.description	En este artículo, interrogamos el rock nacional con nuevas preguntas instaladas por las investigaciones más recientes sobre música, producidas en el contexto local. Hacemos una historia del campo de estudios y mostramos que los intentos de estabilizar esta categoría son más problemáticos de lo que se supone. Asimismo, argumentamos que la literatura trabaja de forma reduccionista los vínculos del llamado rock nacional con el mercado y con la política. Sugerimos que pensar los procesos históricos en términos de origen explica en parte este problema y ofrecemos posibilidades de análisis que enriquecerían nuestro conocimiento del fenómeno.	es-ES
