| dc.description | This paper reconstructs the diverse city mappings drawn by some Argentine novels published during the 1880s following the routes, the locations and the connections established by some of their characters. Through this itinerary, the paper shows that this urban cartography is the result of a structure of feeling that legitimates class hegemony by means of reducing and simplifying the complexity of social relations within the modern city. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo reconstruye los diferentes mapas de la ciudad que se van trazando a partir de los itinerarios, las localizaciones y los vínculos de los personajes en algunas novelas argentinas aparecidas en la década de 1880, con el objeto de demostrar que esta cartografía urbana es el emergente de una estructura de sentimiento legitimadora de la hegemonía de una clase y que se conecta, a su vez, con la necesidad de reducir y simplificar las relaciones sociales cada vez más problemáticas de la ciudad moderna. | es-ES |
