| dc.description | The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze how the Alcoholics Anonymous religious therapeutic community generates identity among the members of the group. Based on the experience in the fi eld and offi ce work, it was reflected on the various aspects that make up the social phenomenon regarding the way in which Alcoholics Anonymous works. Among the most outstanding results, we find that Alcoholics Anonymous is a community of men and of alcoholism in Mexico, there are Civil Associations among which Alcoholics Anonymous stands out. Although the religious therapeutic method of Alcoholics Anonymous does not guarantee the rehabilitation of alcoholism, the community does operate as a religious group for self-help and mutual help in the face of social problems presented by members of the community. women that works through a religious therapeutic model called the Three Legacies, through which it indoctrinates the members, who acquire cultural patterns that make them fully identify with the grouping. It can be inferred that the ingestion of intoxicating beverages is a generalized contemporary practice that is increasing among the population in Mexico. To address this social problem of alcoholism in Mexico, there are Civil Associations among which Alcoholics Anonymous stands out. | dc.description | El objetivo de este artículo es describir y analizar cómo la comunidad terapéutica religiosa de Alcohólicos Anónimos genera identidad entre los miembros de la agrupación. A partir de la experiencia en el trabajo de campo y gabinete, se refl exionó sobre los diversos aspectos que conforman el fenómeno social respecto a la forma en que funciona Alcohólicos Anónimos. Entre lo resultados más sobresalientes encontramos que Alcohólicos Anónimos es una comunidad de hombres y mujeres que funciona a través de un modelo terapéutico religioso denominado los Tres Legados, a través de los cuales adoctrina a los miembros, quienes adquieren patrones culturales que los hace identifi carse plenamente con la agrupación. Se puede colegir que la ingesta de bebidas embriagantes es una práctica contemporánea generalizada que va en aumento entre la población en México. Para atender esta problemática social del alcoholismo en México, hay Asociaciones Civiles entre las que destaca Alcohólicos Anónimos. Aunque el método terapéutico religioso de Alcohólicos Anónimos no garantiza la rehabilitación del alcoholismo, la comunidad sí opera como una agrupación religiosa de autoayuda y ayuda mutua frente a las problemáticas sociales que presentan los miembros de la comunidad. | es-ES |
