dc.description	The construction of the national representation passes through different social contexts, among them cultural and artistic. While the image that will represent a country it develops through a specific political project, which only includes aspects that intended highlighting the political elite and also intervenes economic interests, it is presented some groups trying to vindicate those populations refused and invisible. In this sense, the present paper reflects about some Dominican works of art developed during and after the Trujillo s government that, in despite of the violent context of the dictatorship, depicts everyday life and the societ which coexists into the Dominican territory, a heterogeneous society with diverse cultural heritages, as it is the Afro case.	en-US
dc.description	La construcción de la representación nacional atraviesa los distintos espacios sociales, entre ellos el cultural y el artístico. Si bien, la imagen de lo que representará a un país se desarrolla a través de un proyecto político específico, el cual solo incluye los aspectos que desea resaltar la élite política y donde intervienen intereses económicos, se presentan grupos que tratan de reivindicar a esa población negada e invisibilizada. En este sentido, el presente texto reflexiona sobre algunas obras del arte dominicano desarrollado durante y después del gobierno de Trujillo que, a pesar del contexto violento de la dictadura, plasman la cotidianidad y la sociedad que coexiste en el territorio dominicano, una sociedad heterogénea con diversas herencias culturales, como es el caso de lo afro .	es-ES
