dc.description	This paper analyzes the experiences and reflections of two preschool teachers, Ángela María Herrera Rivera (Angelita) y Francisca Celia Olivas Olivas (Celia), regarding the first preschool centers of their communities. The theoretical framework is based on concepts derived from social interaccionism. The method consisted of oral history. The results showed teachers memories regarding their educational work during the 1980s and their contributions to the development of non-formal preschool education during a period of social change in Nicaragua.Keywords: Non-formal preschool education, community preschool centers, preschool teachers.	en-US
dc.description	Este artículo expone un análisis de las experiencias y reflexiones de dos maestras de educación inicial, Ángela María Herrera Rivera (Angelita) y Francisca Celia Olivas Olivas (Celia) acerca de los primeros centros preescolares en sus comunidades. El enfoque teórico se basó en conceptos aportados por el interaccionismo simbólico. El método utilizado consistió en la historia oral. Los resultados de la investigación revelaron la manera en que dichas maestras recuerdan su quehacer docente durante la década de 1980 y sus aportes al desarrollo de la modalidad no-formal de educación inicial en una etapa de cambio social en Nicaragua.Palabras clave: Educación preescolar no-formal, centros preescolares comunales, maestras de educación inicial.	es-ES
