| dc.description | The incidence of violent murders of women in Mexico has introduced terms such as femicide and femicide violence. However, in practice these terms lack genuine legal repercussions, and this article seeks to build a bridge between sociological and legal issues surrounding them. Using hermeneutic analysis, we examine texts to explore the conceptual underpinnings of gender violence and femicide violence in order to make a connection with legal discussions on typifying femicide. In conclusion, the typification of femicide is seen to help unmask this problem, which is the subject of a vast body of academic work. This must bring about effective administration of justice and prosecution, not only the drafting of new laws. | en-US |
| dc.description | Los asesinatos violentos de mujeres en México han propiciado el surgimiento de los términos feminicidio y violencia feminicida, los cuales no terminan de impactar en las prácticas jurídicas. El objetivo de este artículo es tejer un puente entre los argumentos sociológicos y los jurídicos en torno a dichos términos. Con base en el método hermenéutico se hace un análisis de textos para armar un recuento del recorrido conceptual sobre las violencias de género y la violencia feminicida, que permita crear un nexo con el debate jurídico acerca de la tipificación del feminicidio. Finalmente, se reconoce que dicha tipificación ayuda a visibilizar el problema, hay una gran labor en el ámbito académico y es importante que ello redunde no solo en la creación de leyes, sino en la efectiva administración y procuración de justicia. | es-ES |
