| dc.description | Santiago del Estero is a province that has a structure of the media system with complex characteristics, which assumes similarities with other provinces in the north of the country; this media structure is seen in recent work from the perspective of sub-national states, however, the treatment has been only at the level of production and relations at a macro level. The hearings do not appear as object of study. This paper addresses this category. It is proposed to analyze the relationship between the local media and a specific audience, university students; having as central axis of analysis the influence of the university in the construction of critical thinking and how this questions the consumption of information of the public. From the application of semistructured surveys to students of all the faculties of the National University of Santiago del Estero and the selection of critical cases that were interviewed in depth, it was possible to characterize a profile of the student as a media consumer in the province, and establish four large spaces of socialization that influence those consumptions within the university: the classroom, professional practice and the participation of political spaces. | en-US |
| dc.description | Santiago del Estero es una provincia que posee una estructuración del sistema de medios con características complejas, que asume similitudes con otras provincias del norte del país; esta estructura mediática se visualiza en trabajos recientes desde la perspectiva de estados sub-nacionales, sin embargo, el tratamiento ha sido solo a nivel de producción y relaciones a un nivel macro, las audiencias no aparecen como objeto de estudio. Este trabajo aborda dicha categoría. Para ello se enfatizará en la relación que existe entre los medios locales y una audiencia especifica, el estudiantado de la Universidad Nacional de Santiago del Estero. Se trabajó con dos grandes variables, el consumo de medios y el tratamiento “crítico” que de la información. A partir de la aplicación de encuestas semiestructuradas a estudiantes de todas las facultades y la selección de casos críticos a los que se realizó entrevistas en profundidad, se pudo caracterizar un perfil del estudiante como consumidor de medios en la provincia, y establecer cuatros grandes espacios de socialización que influyen sobre esos consumos dentro de la universidad: el aula, la práctica profesional y la participación de espacios políticos. | es-ES |
