| dc.description | This article will attempt to highlight the overdetermined nature of the sense of different links that provide residents of gated communities in Argentina with an open city. To this end, two instances are analyzed from which the establishment of the neoliberal hegemonic discourse is present in the process of legitimation of private developments. First, we show how the issue of external insecurity is experienced as a constant threat, not only at the time of leaving the private neighborhood but also in key question becomes how community life within the walls. And secondly, country clubs also legitimize as promoters of economic development of the environment, by generating direct employment and the recovery of consumption in the area where they settle. | en-US |

A tal fin, se analizarán dos instancias a partir de las cuales la instauración hegemónica del discurso neoliberal se hace presente en el proceso de legitimación de las urbanizaciones privadas.
