| dc.description | In this paper I analyze Manuel Castells´s main formula of power associated with his notion of flow, and one of the centerpieces of his sociological theory of power from 1986: the relationship between flows of power and power of flows. This is a conceptual formula not defined by the author, strikingly cryptic and elusive, while absolutely key to understanding his contemporary vision of power and State. The research help to discover, inter alia, the relationship between economics and politics that finally proposes the Spanish sociologist, from which it follows an extremely radical version of the thesis of irreversible decline of the nation state, still in force in contemporary social theory despite the sociopolitical changes recorded in Latin America in recent years. | en-US |
| dc.description | En el presente artículo analizo la principal fórmula del poder de Manuel Castells asociada con su noción de flujo, y una de las piezas centrales de su teoría sociológica del poder a partir de 1986: el vínculo entre flujos del poder y poder de los flujos. Se trata de una forma conceptual no definida por el autor, llamativamente críptica e inasible, a la vez que absolutamente clave para la comprensión de su visión contemporánea del poder y del Estado. El estudio permite descubrir, entre otros aspectos, la relación que finalmente propone el sociólogo español entre economía y política. De tal vínculo se desprende una versión en extremo radical de la tesis del declive irreversible del poder del Estado-nación, aún vigente en la teoría social contemporánea pase a los cambios sociopolíticos registrados en América Latina en los últimos años. | es-ES |
