dc.description	the multimedia theme in recent years has diversified with the development of the media of information and communication technologies. The objectives of the study were: 1) to identify the main characteristics of the production of knowledge on the multimedia theme and 2) to examine the scientific production on multimedia topics in the Web of Science. To obtain results were used methods at the theoretical and empirical levels, fundamentally the bibliometric method. It was identifies the main characteristics that typify the production of knowledge on the multimedia theme from metric indicators. Assessments were formulated from the scientific activity and production of multimedia as a field of research.	en-US
dc.description	la temática multimedia en los últimos años se ha diversificado con el desarrollo los medios de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones. Se plantearon como objetivos del estudio: 1) identificar las principales características que presenta la producción de conocimientos sobre la temática multimedia y 2) examinar la producción científica sobre temática multimedia en la Web of Science. Para la obtención de resultados se emplearon métodos en los niveles teórico y empírico, fundamentalmente el método bibliométrico. Se identificaron las principales características que tipifican la producción de conocimientos sobre la temática multimedia a partir de indicadores métricos. Se formularon valoraciones a partir de la actividad y producción científica de la multimedia como campo de investigación.	es-ES
