| dc.description | This paper studies the nature of the works of video and receiving treatment for preservation and documentation is currently within museum collections. Based on the information available in the network, we consider their medium and cataloging. This analysis reveals the characteristics of a medium of artistic expression based on audiovisual technology, and consistent with assets and production booming but whose specificity makes it differ from other audiovisual documents. Likewise addresses the main measures and solutions for preservation and dissemination as well as the relevance of the documentation of the works and their context to achieve the same ends. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo estudia la naturaleza de las obras de la videocreación y el tratamiento que reciben para su conservación y documentación en la actualidad en el seno de las colecciones de museos. Sobre la base de la información accesible en la red, se estudian sus soportes y su catalogación. Este análisis revela las características de un medio de expresión artístico fundado en la tecnología audiovisual, con un patrimonio ya consistente y una producción en pleno auge pero cuya especificidad la hacen diferir de otros documentos audiovisuales. Se abordan así mismo las principales medidas y soluciones para su preservación y difusión así como la relevancia de la documentación de las obras y su contexto para alcanzar esos mismos fines. | es-ES |
