dc.description	This article analyses impersonations of supernatural beings by characters of the political elite in Yaxchilan, Chiapas, Mexico, which occurred during the Late Classic Maya period and continued to be exhibited by rulers and other noble men and women during the successive governments of «God D» B’ahlam II, Yaxuun B’ahlam IV and Chelew Chan K’inich.	en-US
