| dc.description | The funds of knowledge approach values families’ knowledge and practices as a form of resistance within the hegemonic school culture. In this paper we share some reflections, tensions and transformations that we teachers and researchers have identified during our experience in a high school in Barcelona. We analyzed audio and textual record (family-school conversations, study group sessions, field journals and interviews) and, in a second level of analysis, we reconstruct dialogic events that show changes in teachers and researchers: awareness of situations of oppression by race, class and gender, the understanding and legitimization of non-hegemonic forms of family upbringing and care, and critical positioning in the face of folkloric educational proposals. Finally, we discuss the contributions and limitations of this work, as well as suggestions for continuing to expand these reflective processes to the educational community. | en-US |
| dc.description | La aproximación de los fondos de conocimiento es una puesta en valor de los saberes y prácticas familiares como forma de resistencia dentro de la cultura escolar hegemónica. En este trabajo compartimos las reflexiones, tensiones y transformaciones que maestras e investigadoras hemos identificado durante el transcurso de nuestra experiencia en un instituto-escuela de Barcelona. Analizamos el registro audio y textual (conversaciones entre familia-escuela, sesiones del grupo de estudio, diarios de campo y entrevistas) y en un segundo nivel de análisis, reconstruimos eventos dialógicos que muestran cambios en maestras e investigadoras: toma de conciencia de situaciones de opresión por raza, clase y género, comprensión y legitimización de formas de crianza y cuidados familiares no hegemónicas y posicionamiento crítico ante propuestas educativas folclóricas. Por último, discutimos las aportaciones y limitaciones de este trabajo, así como sugerencias de continuidad con el fin de expandir estos procesos reflexivos al conjunto de la comunidad educativa. | es-ES |
