| dc.description | A proposta deste artigo é discutir um episódio já conhecido, a chegada dos primeiros instrutores japoneses de Jiu-Jitsu junto dos marinheiros brasileiros no navio Benjamin Constant, da Marinha do Brasil, no início do século xx. A novidade está na abordagem feita a partir das lentes da História Global Integrada, perspectiva elaborada pelo historiador alemão Sebastian Conrad. | dc.description | This article aims to bring into discussion a well know episode, the arriving of the firsts Japanese Jiu-Jitsu’s instructors among Brazilians mariners in the Benjamin Constant, a warship from Brazilian Navy in the early 20th Century. The originality is on behalf of integrate global history approach, a perspective created by the German historian Sabastian Conrad. In order to deliver this purpose, we are going to examine primary sources from diverse spaces, highlighting the synchronicity of the historical phenomena globally observed. | en-US |
