dc.description	The present article aims to re-evaluate Eduard Seler’s linguistic fieldwork on Popti’. By means of a comparison with two contemporary vocabularies of the same language, published by Otto Stoll and Karl Sapper, it is intended to evaluate both Seler’s ability as a linguist and the historical context in which he operated. By identifying the errors present in the entries of the vocabularies and analyzing their probable causes, an approach to the situation in the field and the problems faced by each researcher is achieved. As an additional result, the three vocabularies with corrected entries are presented.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo tiene el objetivo de reevaluar los trabajos de campo en lingüística realizados por Eduard Seler sobre el popti’. Por medio de una comparación con dos vocabularios contemporáneos del mismo idioma, publicados por Otto Stoll y Karl Sapper, se pretende evaluar tanto la capacidad de Seler como lingüista, como el contexto histórico en que operaba. Identificando y analizando los errores presentes en las entradas de los vocabularios y sus probables causas, se logra un acercamiento a la situación en campo y los problemas que enfrentaba cada investigador. Como resultado adicional, se presentan los tres vocabularios con las entradas corregidas.	es-ES
