dc.description	The article analyzes the concept of counter-culture reaching it from two moments: first one is a historic part, in which its presented the evolution of the counter-cultural youth in base of the birth of expressions of protest, mainly taking into consideration the sociologist Theodore Roszak’s contribution. The second part presents the way in which the 1990 Zapatista movement influenced a sector of young people whom heredated the ideas of protest from previous decades, helping them to stand in solidarity with natives of Chiapas starting from the EZLN irruption on January, 1994. The work takes as an example the manifestations and utopies that were starting to become more prominent in some of the events occurred in the San Cristobal de Las Casas city in 1994, a distinctive and necessary year to comprehend the social movements and the actions of obstestation at the end of the century.	en-US
dc.description	El artículo analiza el concepto de contracultura a partir de dos momentos: una primera parte histórica, en la que se presenta la evolución de la juventud contracultural en base al nacimiento de expresiones de protesta juvenil, tomando en cuenta principalmente los aportes del sociólogo Theodore Roszak. La segunda parte presenta la manera en que el movimiento zapatista en la década de 1990, influyó y empujó a un sector de jóvenes que heredaron ideas de protesta de las décadas anteriores y los llevaron a solidarizarse con los indígenas de Chiapas a partir de la irrupción del EZLN el 1 de enero de 1994. El trabajo toma como ejemplo las manifestaciones y utopías juveniles que se fueron presentando en algunos hechos sucedidos principalmente en la ciudad de San Cristóbal de Las Casas en 1994, un año icónico y necesario para comprender los movimientos sociales y las acciones de protesta de fin de siglo.	es-ES
