dc.description	Se hace referencia a la propuesta de creación de una Biblioteca Digital Nacional de Cuba. La necesidad del desarrollo de la capacidad crítica para lidiar con conceptos como Sociedad de la Información, del Conocimiento y Biblioteca en Red, es argumentada mientras se cuestiona si es posible la existencia de una Sociedad del conocimiento sin personas capaces de analizar críticamente la información. Uno de los conceptos centrales que se aborda es el de la Sociedad de la Dignidad, entendida no como una utopía a largo plazo, sino una construcción centrada en la lucha por un acceso abierto a la información y la cultura mediante redes de personas que trabajen por la dignidad plena de todos. ABSTRACTThe proposal for the creation of a Cuban National Digital Library focuses the conference. The author draws on it the conception of vertigo produced by the accelerated growth of the Internet information sites, mediated by power relations and hegemonic speeches, regulators of relevant topics and actors whom must be listened to. The academic refers to the need for development of the critic capacity to deal with concepts such as Information and Knowledge Society, and Online Library. He ask the question that if it´s possible the existence of a Knowledge Society with no people capable of critically analyzing the information. The Dignity Society is not a long term utopia, but a day by day construction, focused on the fight for an open access to information and culture, throughout people´s webs that work for everyone´s full dignity. The conference concludes with the idea that constructing a Cuban National Digital Library supposes to pass from “disconnected initiatives and individual subjects to the construction of interconnected collective subjects (...)
