dc.description	This paper presents an approach to social media representations present and perceived by the youth audience in soap operas aimed at young Colombians. Young age is understood as a period of change and learning, the question that is solved is how much have soap opera plots have changed against the changes young audiences have undergone? The work of authors such as Orozco (2001), Rodriguez and Garcia (2007), and Calonge (2006) is considered to explore those soap operas, and an approach to social representations perceived by students of the University of Quindio (Colombia) is made.	en-US
dc.description	Este artículo presenta un acercamiento a las representaciones sociales mediáticas presentes y percibidas por la audiencia juvenil en las telenovelas dirigidas a los jóvenes colombianos. Entendida la etapa de la juventud como una etapa de cambios y aprendizajes, la pregunta que se trata de resolver es ¿qué tanto han cambiado las tramas de las telenovelas frente a los cambios que han sufrido las audiencias juveniles? Se trabaja con autores como Orozco (2001), Rodríguez y García (2007) y Calonge (2006) con quienes se exploran las telenovelas y se hace un acercamiento a las representaciones sociales percibidas por los estudiantes de la Universidad del Quindío.	es-ES
