| dc.description | O estudo propõe reunir saberes de educação e comunicação fazendo um recorte histórico entre o final da década de 1960, década de 1970 até a década de 1980, com foco em 1968, ano de criação da primeira TV Educativa do Brasil: a TV Universitária (TVU) – Canal 11 VHF, Órgão Suplementar da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE); norteado pela história da educação e pela análise da produção audiovisual em contraponto a realidade social, com o objetivo de analisar a contribuição da TVU para a educação. Da criação da emissora no período mais conflitante do regime militar, concomitantemente à efervescência cultural da época, emerge a problemática: A 1ª TV Educativa, TV Universitária, Canal 11, cumpriu a missão para a qual foi criada, de que maneira a emissora contribuiu para a educação? A TVU foi mais um canal para expressão cultural ou uma ferramenta de controle social? Em resposta a esse questionamento e ao objetivo proposto, a pesquisa adota em sua metodologia o uso de documentos oficiais, fotos, programas antigos de TV e registro da História Oral; embasada por teóricos como Otaíza Romanelli, Demerval Saviani, Pierre Bourdieu, Flavio Brayner e Antonio Montenegro. A resultante dessa investigação busca somar ao Núcleo de Teoria e História da Educação da UFPE a congruência de duas vertentes que se cruzaram historicamente em PE, com finalidade socioeducativa no cenário político da época. Conclusivamente, comprova a missão da emissora na formação do cidadão e difusão da cultura regional, analisa as politicas educacionais e a metodologia pedagógica adotada nos programas educativos de TV; e academicamente, gera produção bibliográfica sobre o tema, bem como documentação da história própria instituição e da televisão brasileira. | |
| dc.description | This research study proposes to assemble education and communication knowledge by analyzing a historical period between the end of the 1960s, the 1970s until the 1980s, focusing on 1968, the year when the first Educational TV was created in Brazil: TV Universitária (TVU) – Channel 11 VHF, a supplemental authority of Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Being guided by the history of education and the analysis of the audiovisual production in contrast with the social reality, we aimed at analyzing TVU contributions to Education. From the creation of TVU Channel during the most conflicting period of Brazilian military government, concomitantly with the cultural ferment of the time, the following questions are raised: did TV Universitária, the first Educational TV in Brazil broadcasted on Channel 11, fulfill the purposes for which it was created? How there any contribution to education? Was TVU another channel for cultural expression or another tool for social control? In order to respond to the questions proposed and to achieve this research study objective, it is adopted as a research methodology the use of official documents, photos, old TV shows and oral history records; this research study is also theoretically supported by Otaíza Romanelli, Demerval Saviani, Pierre Bourdieu, Flavio Brayner and Antonio Montenegro. The results of this investigating study intend to add the congruence of two branches, which historically crossed in Pernambuco, to the Education History and Theory Research Center at UFPE, with a socio-educational purpose on the political frame in this span of time. As an outcome, it proves the mission of TVU channel in the educational training of citizens and in the dissemination of regional culture, and it also analyzes the educational policies and pedagogical methodology that were adopted in the educational TV programs. Furthermore, it provides academic bibliographic production on the subject, as well as documentation regarding the history of TVU and the history of Brazilian television. | |
